(2 1/2 to 3 yr. olds)

The Chickies are rapidly growing in their language acquisition, social skills, and independence.  Our Chickie Curriculum is designed to maximize your child's educational, social, and emotional growth.

Developmentally appropriate lessons and activities are initiated to aid in your child's educational growth and development.  Our Chickie teacher creates lessons that are creative and fun, but also focused upon learning. While these educational acivities are designed to prepare your child for his or her future in education, emphasis is placed on exploring the environment and lots of playtime as the children begin to understand appropriate social behavior.

While it is a plus for you to have already mastered or already begun potty training with your child at this age, we do accept children at our center who are not yet fully trained.  Our Chickie teacher and our office staff is fully available for your child's needs.  We will work with children and parents on potty training until it is mastered.  We are here to help you out!

This is an age of independence, and your child wants to know how to do everything on his or her own.  We foster their autonomy by allowing them to explore and try new things.  We encourage the children to dress themselves for outdoor play, wash their hands after potty and before meals, learn to eat on thier own and be responsible for thier own things.  We fully appreciate your child's growing independence, but we are also here to help when help is needed.

Miss Kim and her chicks would like to thank Lori LaClair for teaching them how to make pizza from scratch.  Not only did they have a "messy" good time but great eating as well.

This month the Chicks will continue to explore plants and seeds by planning and planting our garden.   Thank you to all of you who gave up your Saturday morning to help.   Special thanks goes to Haley &  Hunter  ("Soup" alumni) for all their help.
