 | Kathy Colbert, Director Mrs. C Kathy is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. Before moving to Traverse City in 1996 she taught first grade for the Van Buren Township Public Schools. Kathy spent her first year in Traverse City as a substitute teacher for the Traverse City Public Schools, and in 1997 began teaching at Alphabet Soup. Before becoming the Director, she taught Alphabet Soup's Kindergarten program. Kathy is married, with two sons and five granddaughters; which, by the way, she'll gladly share stories about with anyone who wants to listen! She loves to go camping with her husband, sew, and garden in her spare time. |
 | Andrea Saunby Mrs. Andrea" Andrea was our Pre-K teacher in the Fall of 2004. After spending a year away teaching a multi-age group in the public school system, she has returned as our Assistant Director and our Pre-K teacher. Andrea and her husband, Jim, who is retired from the Coast Guard, settled here in Traverse City with their two children, Jason and Ashley. |

Melanie began working as a substitute at Alphabet Soup in the Summer of 2003. Since that time, she has worked with us as a Lead Teacher, a Teacher's Assistant, an Assistant Office Manager, and she even serves lunch to the children on occasion. She is an energentic, creative, fun teacher who is well loved by her students. |
 | Jane Allen "Mrs. Jane"
Jane teaches in our Teddy room. She is a certified teacher with a ZA Early Childhood Education endorsement. She worked with Headstart and the Northwestern Michigan Migrant Project, teaching preschool for over twelve years. She enjoys introducing young children to excellent children's books, as well as singing and dancing with them. |

Kim is our Chickie teacher. She originally graduated from Northwestern Michigan College as an LPN. She is currently working toward a Child Development Associate Degree. When she is not here at Alphabet Soup, she keeps busy with her three children and five grandchildren. |

Caitlin is a Teacher's Assistant here at Alphabet Soup. She graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 2007. She plans on attending Northwestern Community College next year. She is a native of Traverse City, and love working with children. |
